Changing Tunings and Transposing

At present I'm having trouble switching between tunings. Lets say I import a GP file, which is for a song in standard tuning. I personally play in c# standard, so my first instinct was to open up each track and lower the tuning of each guitar down to my tuning individually, each string -3 semitones. On guitar pro, it would then give you the option to transpose the track you just changed the tuning on, giving you the same track, with the fret positions identical, the pitch altered by whatever you changed on the tuning. I've just found the option tabular supplies in the 'Edit' menu to transpose each track, but having that prompt come up after changing each track would save a bit of bother.

As a further idea, with no idea if it would be feasible or not, maybe an option to "drop' the tuning of the whole song by an imputable degree.

Example: Edit>Drop Tuning. "Shift tunings of all tracks by x semitones?"

x being the variable, in my case -3.

It would then alter the pitch of each track without moving the fret positions.

Hope that all makes sense!

Thanks for the feedback! An option to transpose the track as part of changing its tuning is definitely something I'd like to add. I'll add that to the to-do list.

Let me know if you have any other suggestions!

While I'm at it, the scroll bar underneath the tracks section eats into the space of the lowest track. This is fine for large multi track songs, however with the single track song I have open at the moment it's slightly awkward to select a different bar using the coloured boxes, as half the box is covered by a scroll bar. Obviously this such a minor thing, but maybe worth looking at for future updates.

All I've done so far is moan about this programme. I did want to say that after using this product for three days I'm really impressed. Easy to use, looks great and the customer support has been brilliant. Definitely more enjoyable then guitar pro. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the kind words, I really appreciate it :)

The app was originally designed with automatically-hiding scrollbars in mind, so when regular scrollbars are present, it causes a few weird issues like that. I'll get that fixed eventually.
